Evaluations

Teams are drafted based on evaluations conducted during a short scrimmage, where evaluators assess each player’s skill level.

IMPORTANT: These evaluations are not tryouts. They are used only to help create balanced teams.

ALL PLAYERS MAKE A TEAM REGARDLESS OF EVALUATION RESULTS.

High School Girls Program (Conditional Structure)

Programming for the girls division depends on registration numbers. All participants will be placed on a waitlist and will not be charged until the final program structure is confirmed.

  • 40+ players: Full season (10 games + playoffs) — $315
  • 20+ players: 10-week program (90 minutes weekly: 45 min skills + 45 min scrimmage) — $150
  • Under 20 players: No program will run

Team Selection

Team selection considers player availability, evaluation results, and other commitments.

Player requests may be submitted (1–2 friends). Requests are considered but not guaranteed.

Division Structure

The High School program is divided into:

  • Grade 9 & 10
  • Grade 11 & 12

The RCBA reserves the right to combine divisions depending on registration numbers.

  • This is a city-wide program
  • No zone requests accepted
  • Players may be assigned to any practice facility

Games

  • Format: 5-on-5
  • Game length: 75 minutes
  • Zone defense is not allowed
  • Person-to-person press is allowed

Scoring

Scores are kept and displayed. If the score differential exceeds 25 points, coaches may choose to stop displaying the score.

On the RCBA website, scores are only recorded up to a 25-point differential to discourage running up the score.

Playoffs

All teams qualify for playoffs and are guaranteed a minimum of 2 games.

Playoff brackets are posted, and matchups are based on final standings.
