The RCBA is a non-profit community organization the offers basketball programs in Regina for youth ages 5-18. Youth of all skill levels in Regina & surrounding areas are encouraged to sign up - Everyone is welcome!
Youth development is the core focus of our league. We incorporate Basketball Canada's guidelines for player development, ensuring players are learning the right skills at the right age! Having FUN while learning & playing basketball is the most important skill to bring to the gym.
We have received notice that due to the increase of COVID cases, we will no longer have access to school gyms for November and December. Our league will be postponed to January and run until Easter. Since our league cannot start until the new year, we are going to also postpone Grade 5-8 evaluations as well. Once we have a better idea of when evaluations can be, we will let you know.
We still want participants to work and develop on their basketball skills, so for the months of November and December we are going to be offering a VITRUAL challenge! We will send out more information in the next couple weeks.
We are also opening up our registration for Grade 3-8 as you will need to be registered to participate in the virtual challenge. Registrations will now stay open until November 15th.
RCBA thanks you for your patience and understanding during this time. As things continue to change in our COVID world, we will continue to provide updates. Take care and stay safe.
The RCBA is very excited to announce Sara England as the new Executive Director.
Here’s a little bit about Sara……
Sara always had a passion for sport, which led her to a post-secondary education at the University of Regina with a degree in Sports and Recreation Studies, as well as a diploma in Business Administration. Through her education, she was able to complete her first-ever Internship program, a yearlong position at Special Olympics Saskatchewan, as their Marketing & Development Coordinator. Sports have always been a large part of Sara’s life, as she is currently a competitive curler out of Saskatchewan and is no stranger to those in the curling rink as she has represented the province 3 times. Being a competitive athlete and growing up in sport, Sara understands the importance of sport and the huge impact the grassroot level can have on young athletes.
Sara is very excited to be sharing her passion of sport and community involvement with the RCBA and we are ecstatic to have her join our team! Welcome Sara to the RCBA Family!
