Compliance Managers & Head Coach Information 

Running this program depends on volunteers. Each program will need to have 1 volunteer Head Coach & 1 volunteer Compliance Manager. The RCBA will supply fully structured, pre-planned practices for coaches to run. No experience necessary! If you have any questions, visit our Coaches Corner or email rcba@sasktel.net.

All Coaches are required to complete an online Respect in Sport course & a Criminal Record Check - any fees associated will be reimbursed by the RCBA

The Compliance Manager & Head Coach roles must be filled before the program start date - If these positions are not volunteered for by Jan. 8, the RCBA may be forced to delay or cancel a week(s) of the program, until these roles are filled

Compliance Manager Roles/Responsibilities 

  • Compliance Managers may also act as Assistant Coaches 

  • Compliance Managers will sanitize player benches as well as door handles (if doors can’t be propped open) prior to the team entering the facility

  • Compliance Managers will be responsible for admitting participants into the facility: 

    • Asking each player and coach if they have answered a series of health questions. The participant must answer “no” to all in order to gain access to the facilities, this could include taking a player's temperature

    • If anyone answers “yes” they will be turned away from the facility and the RCBA office will be notified for follow up (more details on procedures below) 

  • Compliance Managers will be responsible for tracking player/coach/spectator attendance and submitting attendance to the RCBA office at the conclusion of each practice through a Google Form

  • Compliance Managers are responsible for ensuring players complete proper sanitization before entering and exiting the facility 

  • Compliance Managers will ensure there are no spectators in the facility

  • Compliance Managers will assist in ensuring all participants exit the gym as quickly as possible at the end of practice 

  • If there is any trouble with compliance the Compliance Manager will report infractions to the RCBA office for follow up 

  • All coaches meetings and compliance manager will have training meetings via Zoom 

  • Compliance Managers must complete a Criminal Record Check - any fees associated will be reimbursed by the RCBA

Head Coaches 

  • All Coaches must complete a Criminal Record Check - any fees associated will be reimbursed by the RCBA

  • All Coaches must complete their Respect in Sport certificate. This certificate will be completed as an online course

  • Coaches are responsible for running the RCBA practices safely by following all RCBA protocols put in place

  • The Head Coach will work with their assistant coaches and/or Compliance Managers to ensure protocols are being followed. The player & all coach's safety is our number one priority this season

  • Coaches will be supplied practice plans from the RCBA - you can choose to use these practices or modify the drills to your preferences
