Running this program depends on volunteers. Each program will need to have 1 volunteer Head Coach & 1 volunteer Compliance Manager. The RCBA will supply fully structured, pre-planned practices for coaches to run. No experience necessary! If you have any questions, visit our Coaches Corner or email rcba@sasktel.net.
All Coaches are required to complete an online Respect in Sport course & a Criminal Record Check - any fees associated will be reimbursed by the RCBA
The Compliance Manager & Head Coach roles must be filled before the program start date - If these positions are not volunteered for by Jan. 8, the RCBA may be forced to delay or cancel a week(s) of the program, until these roles are filled
Compliance Managers may also act as Assistant Coaches
Compliance Managers will sanitize player benches as well as door handles (if doors can’t be propped open) prior to the team entering the facility
Compliance Managers will be responsible for admitting participants into the facility:
Asking each player and coach if they have answered a series of health questions. The participant must answer “no” to all in order to gain access to the facilities, this could include taking a player's temperature
If anyone answers “yes” they will be turned away from the facility and the RCBA office will be notified for follow up (more details on procedures below)
Compliance Managers will be responsible for tracking player/coach/spectator attendance and submitting attendance to the RCBA office at the conclusion of each practice through a Google Form
Compliance Managers are responsible for ensuring players complete proper sanitization before entering and exiting the facility
Compliance Managers will ensure there are no spectators in the facility
Compliance Managers will assist in ensuring all participants exit the gym as quickly as possible at the end of practice
If there is any trouble with compliance the Compliance Manager will report infractions to the RCBA office for follow up
All coaches meetings and compliance manager will have training meetings via Zoom
Compliance Managers must complete a Criminal Record Check - any fees associated will be reimbursed by the RCBA
