The RCBA follows the guidelines set out by Canada Basketball in their Long Term Athlete Development Model when developing our programs so that players move through the system in a progressive approach

Play 1 day a week on Saturday.  Boys and girls play in the same program

Grade 1&2

Play 1 day a week on Saturday. Boys and girls are placed together on teams. 

Program will be divided into year 1 and year 2 players. Player must have participated in Steve Nash previously to register for Year 2 program

Year 1:  no competition

Year 2: Two teams practice at same time and then play a mini game of 3on3 at conclusion of practice. 

Grade 3

Oct - Feb

Progression throughout the season from 2 on 2, to 3 on 3

Practice 1 1/2 hours a week and play 1 game a week.  Boys game days are Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays. Girls game days are Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. Players are divided into 2 Pools to allow for a better learning experience
