Skill development, fun and fair play are the RCBA's main goals for players in this division. The league regularly evaluates its programs to ensure these goals are met. In 2010 we implemented a new program to promote our main goals and to facilitate the transition into full-court team basketball.

The format will include 2-on-2 full-court fast-break games, 3-on-3 half-court games, and 3-on-3 full court, which will both provide greater opportunity for all players to have possession of the ball, and, by reducing the required rule knowledge and tactical skills required, will increase the time that can be spent on the fundamental offensive skills of the game. The game sessions are 75 minutes in length
Scores are not kept, increasing the focus on fun and development.
Will allow an opportunity to conclude our season with a fun event.
When players register they indicate which zone they currently reside in as well as which school they attend. They will also indicate which nights they are unavailable to practice. When drafting teams we take all these factors into account though due to availability of practice facilities your practice time might be in a zone other than what you registered to.
Team practices will be held at the same time in the same facility each week for 1 hour. While every effort is made to keep a teams practice facility within their zone, due to a limitation of facilities available that is not always possible. Teams will play weekly on Saturdays for 1 1/4 hours between 9:00am-3:00pm. Times can change from week to week. Game schedules are based on playing against teams from within zones and outside of zones. Game gyms will reflect that schedule.
The following is provided to the player at the beginning of the season:
