Coach Recognition

Coach of the Year:  Shannon Slater

This year we have selected Shannon Slater to be our Coach of the Year.  Shannon has coached in our league for 6 years now, and this year was a part of our grade 6 boys program.   She was nominated through our online form by multiple players and parents from her team this year, as well as by parents who have had her as a coach in previous seasons.  She has also been recommended as a potential recipient of the award by some of her opposing coaches this season and her weekly sportsmanship scores are always consistently high which reinforces the idea that she hold up the ideals of the league and other teams respect her coaching style.   Shannon has shown dedication to the development of her coaching skills by attending both NCCP and supplementary training's sessions over the years. All of these line up to be a great match to our eligibility requirements for our Coach of the Year. Congrats Shannon, enjoy the trip to Toronto to see the Raptors play!
